You can never underestimate the power of a good cup of coffee paired with a relaxing atmosphere. If I ever have no idea what to do with friends, my go-to plan is always coffee. Luckily, Sheboygan has so many great spots to choose from. A few of my personal favorites are Paradigm Coffee & Music, Eb Flo, Weather Center Cafe, Daydream Café Lakeside, and the CAFE at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center
Just as the name suggests, Paradigm Coffee & Music combines great coffee with live music and community events. From Thursday open-mic nights to film series and fundraisers, there’s always something going on.
While Eb Flo Coffeeshop, the Weather Center, and Daydream Café Lakeside may not regularly host events, they make up for it with unbeatable waterfront locations. Eb Flo and the Weather Center sit along the riverfront, giving you the perfect opportunity to stroll to nearby shops, restaurants, and even mini golf. Daydream Café Lakeside is located near Deland Park, making it an ideal stop before or after a walk along the beach or out to the lighthouse.
The Café at JMKCA is perfect for the art lovers reading this. Order a coffee or a meal, then take your time exploring the exhibits, which are constantly rotating and always worth a stroll.
Live Music in Sheboygan
Since we’re on the topic of drinks, let’s talk about 3 Sheeps Brewing. Not only are they one of the top breweries in Wisconsin known for their dark, barrel-aged beers, delicate Belgian styles, easy-drinking ambers, and nitrogen-infused stouts, but their events are taking off too. Think live music, bingo nights, food truck rally nights, and so much more.
Personally, I’ve been loving bingo night. It’s a fun way to break up the week and get out for the evening. You can bring in outside food, and even if you’re not a beer drinker like me, they have other drink options to choose from.
A local favorite for live music that I highly recommend is Limelight Pub. This neighborhood destination offers unique menu selections, craft beers, and live music featuring local artists who specialize in jazz, blues, and Americana. It’s a casual, welcoming space that truly feels like an extension of your living room.

Keeping your hands busy is a great way to spend an evening in Sheboygan. If you have a creative side, you’ll love the local businesses that offer hands-on classes and workshops.
At Clay Crafts, you can take a bowl-making class and create three unique bowls with guidance from an experienced instructor. Your pieces will be ready for glazing about two weeks later, giving you the chance to admire your new skills. They also offer immersive six-week wheel-throwing workshops for beginners and beyond, perfect if you’re ready to get more serious with clay.
If you’re looking to connect with others while supporting local talent, check out the community classes at The Sheboygan Collective. From art workshops like watercolor, embroidery, and needle felting to DIY skills, there’s always something new to try. Whether you’re flying solo, bringing a friend, or signing your kid up for one of their youth art classes, this space is a fun way to mix up your week and tap into Sheboygan’s creative scene.
Other businesses I highly recommend exploring are Relish Kitchen Store and Caan Floral & Greenhouses. Relish offers unique cooking classes such as sourdough bread making, learning how to properly use a cast-iron pan, or indulging your sweet tooth with decadent chocolate truffles. They also introduce new classes regularly. Around the holidays, Caan Floral & Greenhouses hosts seasonal workshops, and in the past, I’ve attended their Christmas wreath class.
Sheboygan’s Board and Brush has a calendar full of activities to choose from. Pick your project, stop in for a walk-in make-and-take, sign up for a DIY front porch makeover, and so much more.
Indoor Fun in Sheboygan
I’ve become a big fan of golfing in the last couple of years. Sheboygan has several renowned golf courses around the area. But, when the weather isn’t cooperating, Golf 365 has become my go-to spot for golfing year-round. They have two locations in Sheboygan, and it’s the perfect place to keep working on your swing especially during those long Wisconsin winter months. With private bays and super realistic golf simulators, you can practice, play full rounds, and even choose from hundreds of courses from around the world.
PowerPlay Arena brings next-level entertainment to town! They are a virtual reality & racing simulator center. Whether you’re battling it out in VR, racing head-to-head, or just trying something totally new, it’s an experience you won’t forget.
Sheboygan knows how to put on a show, at the Weill Center of the Performing Arts you can experience a variety of live performances, including music, comedy, variety acts, and movies within the historic theater.
Fun Rentals in Sheboygan
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, explore downtown and the riverfront like never before with Shebikin’. This pedal-powered pub on wheels is perfect for groups of up to 15, with a minimum of six riders. Bring along your favorite brews or wine coolers for the ride, but leave the hard liquor at home. With pumping tunes and nonstop energy, Shebikin’ delivers a pedal-powered pub crawl unlike anything else in Sheboygan.
If you’re looking for a different way to explore the Sheboygan River, book a pontoon rental through Sheboygan Watersports. It’s one of the best ways to spend a summer evening on the water. Relax, laugh, and enjoy cruising past other boats as you take in the views.
Spend time on the river, head out toward the lighthouse, and hang out while soaking it all in. They offer half-day, full-day, and multi-day rentals if you’re turning it into a full weekend. Pick-up is quick and easy right at South Pier Drive. We brought our own snacks, a few drinks, and even a cute fur baby.
